Case details
In global sourcing, finding factory names in China is relatively easy. However, confirming whether a supplier fits the technical requirement, sample stage, production route, and shipment plan is often much more challenging.
Recently, Alex Trading (Group) supported a client from South Asia in sourcing a batch of aluminum alloy clamps for industrial applications. From requirement confirmation and sample development to production follow-up and final delivery preparation, our procurement team helped keep the key execution details visible.
Project Background
The client, who operates in the industrial equipment sector, was looking to purchase aluminum alloy clamps to be used in their equipment assembly. During the initial communication, the client outlined several key requirements:
- Aluminum alloy material
- Precise machining dimensions
- Stable product requirements
- Competitive pricing
- Practical delivery schedule
To review the technical requirements, the client provided detailed product drawings, which allowed us to understand the product structure and critical dimensions before supplier follow-up.
Sample Development and Confirmation
After receiving the drawings, the sourcing team at Alex Trading (Group) immediately began contacting potential manufacturers and evaluating their machining capabilities.
Once a suitable factory was identified, we arranged sample production according to the client's drawings.
After the sample was completed, we conducted an initial inspection and sent the sample to the client for evaluation. The client reviewed the sample feedback and dimensional details, and the project then proceeded to mass production.
This sampling process helped verify key technical requirements before full-scale production, reducing avoidable sourcing risks.
Production Follow-Up and Quality Control
After the order was confirmed, our procurement team continued to monitor the production process closely. Our work included:
- Coordinating production schedules with the factory
- Tracking manufacturing progress
- Verifying technical specifications
- Conducting pre-shipment quality inspections
- Arranging packaging and shipment
Through structured production follow-up, we kept product details, packaging, inspection timing, and shipment preparation under review.
Successful Delivery
After final inspection and shipment preparation, the aluminum alloy clamps were shipped to the client in South Asia.
This project shows how source-level supplier follow-up, sample review, production tracking, and shipment preparation can support overseas buyers during China-side execution.
